a Behind the Scenes Memoir

Hi, I'm Hannah -- your fly on the wall, number one fan capturing the beautiful chaos we call life, from behind the lens. While I am passionate about many things: hiking, Jesus, Crossfit, fantasy novels and movies, ice cream (just to name a few) -- what truly brings light to my life (besides my kids and husband) is collecting the every-day unscripted moments. And not just any every-day unscripted moments, but the ones experienced together. 

As a stay at home mom, it is easy to get caught up in the viewpoint of feeling unseen and unnoticed for all that you do and provide for your family. In a time, when I allowed myself to wallow in the pity-party of under-appreciation, I felt reminded to step back and truly look at my little family in front of me as if seeing them from behind the scenes. The way my husband's hands still had grease and dirt on them, despite his best efforts to wash them clean, after a hard day of work. My oldest, little son sharing a story of his day that makes absolutely no sense, but the lightness in his voice marks it was important to him. My little 1.5 year old chiming in with noises to be involved, and they eventually look towards me at some point with love in their eyes. Reminding me how blessed I truly am.

This is where my heart realized that the mundane moments are the ones I long to remember and relive because that is where the magic of joy is found.

That's why I am passionate about capturing your story. To be the behind the scenes camera gal who will help show you just how precious every little moment is, every day, especially the days you feel unseen, when you walk by the hangings on your wall, and relive the joyful magic of the mundane. The life you had always prayed for and now have. 

These are the fleeting moments I am after, the ones that deserve to be frozen in time
